When do you provide telehealth therapy?

My therapy office is mostly virtual at this time for your convenience. I like that we can use technology to make access to care easy. I have virtual therapy appointments available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays generally from 10am-7pm. I like to offer evening hours for those who need it.

When do you provide in-office therapy?

I provide in office therapy appointments on SATURDAYS only at my Glendale office. I think it is important to be able to provide therapy for those folks who appreciate therapy in person. My Saturday office hours are generally 10am-6pm.

Do you provide a free consultation for a potential therapy client?

Yes, I provide a free 15 minute virtual consult for most potential therapy clients. The virtual consultations are an opportunity to meet me and ask any questions you might have for me regarding therapy and your therapy needs. It also gives me the chance to see if what I offer could be the appropriate therapy treatment. If it is determined that your therapy needs are out of my scope of practice or exertise or specialty, then I always provide referrals to point you in the right direction. Therapy care is not a one size fits all approach and that it is so important to get the appropriate type of therapy treatment for it to be safe and effective.

Do you provide couples therapy?

I do not specialize in providing couples therapy but I can provide you with referrals of providers who do provide that service.

What are your standard therapy fees?

Intake Session: $160, Individual Therapy Session: $160 for 55 mins, Family Therapy: $160 for 55 mins

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Optum (United Health Care, Oscar, UMR) and Aetna plans at this time. If I am out of network with you health insurance plan, I can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your health insurance for some sort of reimbursement which would be determine by your health insurance provider.

Do you work with kids or teenagers?

I am not working with minors at this time.

Do you provide faith based therapy?

I provide therapy for those of all faiths or no faith context at all. I am able to serve those who would like Christian Counseling and see things from a biblical worldview. You will need to request that type of therapy care if you are interested.

Do you provide a Good Faith Estimate?

I comply with the No Surprise Act and provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE). Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. As I focus on a partnerships with my clients in the therapy process, Switchback Therapy has continuously promoted an understanding of service agreements with disclosures of cost. Under the 2022 law, this specific GFE form is now part of the informed consents package sent with request to sign and complete intake documentation prior to beginning services.
